Fibre-reinforced adhesive for thermal insulation boards

FL100 ST STANDARD adhesive is used for bonding thermal insulation boards to brick wall substrates, cellular concrete, exposed concrete, old plastered surfaces, etc. It is also used for the positioning of the fibreglass sheet on the outer side of the insulation board before the application of the finishing plasters. It ensures high bonding strength between the insulation boards and the substrate, as well as moisture resistance. Achieves high resistance to compression, bending, and environmental changes. It complies with. Homogeneous, ready to mix, industrial product of consistently high quality. It ensures good workability, increased application speed, is economical and provides excellent results.

Composition & Characteristics:

- Mixture of high quality white cement, strictly selected particle size and quality of crushed marble, polypropylene fibres, polymers and other special improving additives.

- It complies with: EN 12004, EN 998-1 / EAD 040083-00-0404, ETA 20/0778 - 20/0699 - 19/0472.

Grain size < 0,7 mm.

Application:

- The substrate must be clean, stable and free of any residues (scattered particles of plaster or mortar, dust, grease, etc.).

- The contents of the bag shall be gradually added to clean water (approximately 6,0 l/bag) under continuous stirring using an electric mixer at low speed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The mixture is allowed to cure for 5 minutes and then stirred again before application. Bonding of insulation boards to masonry

- The adhesive is applied to the surface of the insulating board either by covering the entire surface of the board with a notched trowel (8-10 mm), or by partially covering at least 40 % of the surface of the board (adding 3-4 drops around the perimeter in the centre) with a mixture thickness of approximately 2 cm.

- After a period of 2-3 days (at low temperatures a longer period is required) from the bonding of the thermal insulation boards, they should be fixed with the special anchor plugs. Fitting of the glazing

- Next, a layer of adhesive approximately 3 mm thick is applied to the outer side of the insulation board and, while the adhesive is still wet, the glass fibre mesh sheet is placed on the surface and embedded using a smooth trowel so that it is finally completely surrounded by the adhesive.

- With the application of the desired finishing plasters, the thermal insulation system is completed.

- When the insulation boards are applied to the wall, the temperature should not be lower than +5 °C or higher than +35 °C.

- Extreme climatic conditions (such as strong wind, rain, dust, direct sunlight, etc.) should be avoided during the application of the adhesive, as well as for a few hours afterwards. All the above mentioned thermal insulation works should be started after FL100 ST STANDARD adhesive is used for bonding thermal insulation boards to wall substrates made of brick, cellular concrete, exposed concrete, old plastered surfaces, etc. It is also used for the positioning of the fibreglass sheet on the outer side of the insulation board before the application of the finishing plasters.

Before applying insulation board plaster (pasting & plastering) it is necessary to complete the internal plastering, application of floor coatings, etc. In particular, a waiting period of at least 3-5 weeks is required after the completion of these works.

Attention:

FL100ST STANDARD adhesive should not be used in the following situations:

* Directly on plaster walls or plaster mortar, unless a coat of acrylic primer has been applied beforehand.

Remarks:

* For even better results, please refer to the relevant MARMOPLUS product.

* FL100ST STANDARD adhesive contains cement which is classified as an irritant. Consult the safety instructions and precautions indicated in the Material Safety Data Sheet of the product.

Packaging & Storage:

- In 25 kg bags, on pallets.

- In a dry place where frost does not form, for 12 months from the date of production, in unopened bags frost-free, for 12 months from the date of production, in unopened bags.

Consumption:

Bonding of insulating boards: 4-5 kg/m2 (1cm thick / 40% surface area), depending on the type and quality of the masonry.

Reinforcement of glass fibreglass sheet: 4-5 kg/m2 (3mm thickness / 100% surface area).
