Scaffolding wheels are specifically designed, but not limited to, for use on scaffolding or temporary structures for construction purposes.

- Strain Radial Moment Test: The wheel shank shall resist without rotation a 440 lbs torque between the shank and the top bearing plate.
- Rotating brake torque test: With the wheel brake fully pulled down, the wheel shall resist a torque of 220 lbs between the wheel stem and the wheel body in each direction.
- Wheel braking torque test: With the wheel brake fully applied downward, the wheel resists a torque of 400-440 lbs between the brake and the wheel body in both directions.
