Description:
DOMOPROOF FONDO is a multi-purpose solvent-based bituminous compound for the waterproofing and protection of ferrous and non ferrous metals, roofing materials and concrete structures. 

Advantages:
DOMOPROOF FONDO provides an effective waterproofing, weatherproofing, corrosion resistance coating; it is resistant to low concentrations of alkalies and acids and can withstand prolonged oxidation. It is suitable for application on a wide variety of materials including iron and steel, lead, zinc, aluminium, asbestos-cement, concrete, stone and brick. It is mainly used as:

• A protective coating for concrete structures, stone, brick, concrete screeds and sand/cement surfaces. 
• Metal protection-corrugated iron sheds, fire escapes, stairways, ladders, storage tanks, gutters, down-pipes, fences, railings, gates etc. 
• Protecting water tanks.
  

Packing :
DOMOPROOF FONDO is supplied in metal drums of 1, 4, 20 and 200 ltr. 

Storage/Handling:
Solvent based. Store away from hot lights, naked flames. Shelf life 12 months in tightly sealed, undamaged containers. 

Surface Preparation:
Laying surface must be sound, clean, free from dirt, debris, loose gravel and MUST BE DRY. Fill cracks, joints etc. with DOMOPROOF BITUMEN MASTIC.
APPLY IN DRY WEATHER ONLY.
On very porous or dirty surfaces apply firstly one coat of DOMOPROOF FONDO diluted 1 to 1 p.p.w. with WHITE SPIRIT or Kerosene. 

Application:
Apply DOMOPROOF FONDO by brush, roller or in certain cases by spray. Each coat to be at right angles to the previous one.
Depending on the application and excluding primer, two to three coats are recommended. If necessary, in the second coat a reinforcing scrim may be incorporated.
Before applying DOMOPROOF FONDO it is essential to vigorously stir with a stiff rod.
