MARMOCEM LAST is a coated, elastic, osmotic, 2-component waterproofing system. It reacts with the cement ingredients to form stable and insoluble salts which osmotic clog the pores and capillaries of concrete. It is suitable for external and internal waterproofing of foundations, basements, conventional or inverted roofs, swimming pools, tanks, surfaces with hairline cracks and generally in any construction where waterproofing of the substrate is required. Thanks to the single, cohesive, elastic membrane that MARMOCEM LAST forms, it offers complete waterproofing and protection from moisture, excellent adhesion to the substrate, high resistance to negative bending and compression stresses and temperature changes, while providing complete breathability to the structural elements.
Homogeneous, ready-to-mix, industrial product of consistently high quality. Ensures good workability, increased application speed, is economical and provides excellent results.

Suitable for drinking water tanks in accordance with the requirements of W-347 and W 270 (EBETAM / certificate no. 3743).

Composition & Characteristics:

- A component: Mixture of high quality grey cement, aggregates of selected particle size, enriched with special improving additives.

- B component: High elasticity acrylic dispersion.

- Complies with the specifications: EN 1504-2:2008, concrete surface protection products/systems. 

- Suitable for drinking water tanks in accordance with the requirements of W-347 and W 270 (EBETAM / certificate no. 3743).

Application:

- The substrate must be clean and stable and must be wetted to saturation before application.
- Wooden and metal endings should be cut to a depth of approximately 3 cm and then covered with the fibre-reinforced, repair mortar REFIXCEM. REFIXCEM is also used to heal the concrete nests.
- At the points where the floor joins the wall, it is recommended to form a curvilinear loop approximately 10 cm wide with REFIXCEM. - Any cracks in the substrate are filled with REFIXCEM. Then, after the REFIXCEM has hardened, a layer of MARMOCEM LAST is applied locally and while it is still wet, a suitably cut piece of reinforcement (fibreglass / polyester geotextile) is embedded along the crack. Finally, a second layer of MARMOCEM LAST follows to completely cover the reinforcement.
- In areas of severe cracks and joints or joints, in addition to the local use of the reinforcement mentioned, it is recommended to use it universally over the entire surface. The reinforcement is applied immediately after the first coat of MARMOCEM LAST has been applied while it is still wet. The overlap thickness of the reinforcement strips should be approximately 10 cm. The second coat that follows should cover the reinforcement completely (a third coat may be required).
- The contents of component A (25 kg mortar) shall be added gradually and with continuous stirring to a bucket containing component B (6,5 kg emulsion) using an electric mixer at low speed or a traditional mixer until a homogeneous mixture (slurry) suitable for spreading is obtained.

If the first layer has already hardened, it must be preceded by sufficient wetting.
- The thickness of each layer should not exceed 1 mm to avoid possible cracking.
- The freshly coated surface should be protected from rain, direct sunlight, dust, etc.
- The application temperature should be between +5 oC and +35 oC

MARMOCEM LAST contains cement which is classified as an irritant. Consult the safety instructions and precautions indicated in the Material Safety Data Sheet of the product.

Packaging & Storage:

- Packs of 31.5 kg (25 kg mortar + 6.5 kg liquid) on pallets.
- In a dry place where frost does not form, for 12 months from the date of production, in unopened bags.

Consumption:

Approximately 1,5 kg/m2 / 1 mm thick layer, depending on the substrate.
