Knauf Perlfix 25kg

Knauf-Perlfix is used for gluing plasterboards, insulating materials (polystyrene and mineral fibre boards), PS and MF panels to standard substrates with a rough and absorbent surface.

Preparation of the substrate

The substrate must be dry, free of dust and other residues.  Test the absorbency of the substrate and remove from the concrete any formwork oils. 

Prime porous and smooth surfaces (e.g. exposed concrete)

Mixing

Mix one bag of Perlfix (4,5 kg) in approximately 2,4 l of clean water without the addition of other materials and stir with an electric mixer until a homogeneous and lump-free mixture is obtained.

Processing time

Apply the material within approximately 30 minutes from the preparation of the mixture. 

Dirty containers and tools reduce the processing time.

Processing

On uneven surfaces, apply Knauf-Perlfix in trowels at a distance of 35 cm from the plasterboard or surface. 

Very uneven surfaces can be converted to a flat substrate with Knauf-Perlfix-applied strips of drywall or the panels can be glued to the strips and alphabetted. 

The installation must be done without gaps in the joints. 

Containers and tools must be cleaned with water after use.

Storage

Storage shall be in a dry environment on pallets. 

Damaged bags should be covered and used first. 

Storage time 6 months.
