Polyethylene Sheets for Waterproofing - Bitumen Membrane Rock Plast PE Film 4mm, 5.5kg/m2 1mx10m

Rock Plast is a high performance, plastomeric, prefabricated, modified asphaltic waterproofing membrane consisting of a proprietary waterproofing asphalt compound reinforced with a non-woven polyester carrier. Rock Plast proprietary waterproofing compound is designed with high quality asphalt modified with Atactic Polypropylene (APP) to increase elasticity, flexibility and reinforced with admixture of Thermoplastic materials to obtain high heat resistance, good elongation and flexibility at low temperatures. To improve the UV resistance and 

durability of the product, the film is coated with mineral stabilizers. 

Application:

Rock Plast waterproofing membrane is used for a wide variety of applications: 

• Roofing or re-roofing for a single-layer covered system or as a base layer for multi-layer systems. 
• The product could be applied for waterproofing foundations and civil engineering works by torching, hot air generator or using special adhesives in both cold and hot applications. 
• Cleaning of the substrate surface is necessary until it is dry, smoothed and any particles are removed; - Based on surface conditions, a coat of ROCKAL primer product will be required prior to application of the membrane.
• According to the design of the waterproofing system and adhesion instructions, APP-Product can be applied to the substrate fully adhered, semi-adhered or loosely applied.
• Coating is necessary as follows: side coats from 8-10 cm and end coats from 12-15 cm.

Basic characteristics 

• High UV resistance (Mineral finish) - Excellent thermal resistance - Strong adhesion to the substrate - Proven waterproofing 
• Chemical resistance to a wide range of light acidic, alkaline solutions and bacteria. 

Transport and storage 

• Rolls should be stored upright on a pallet at single row height. 
• Avoid falls or other mechanical impacts when loading and unloading rolls. 
• Storage of rolls in a horizontal position is prohibited.
  Protect the rolls from direct ultraviolet radiation, any source of heat and moisture.
