Low expansion hand-held polyurethane foam for the bonding of insulating boards
Polyurethane foam for the bonding of expanded boards
polystyrene (EPS) on building facades during application
external masonry insulation. It is a material of the certified
Ceretherm Express system. Approximately 2 hours after bonding,
the boards can be coated. CT 84 is used for
bonding EPS, XPS (polystyrene boards) and MW (mineral wool)
on substrates such as wood, OSB boards, glass, asphalt, solid substrates
bricks, concrete, steel plates, steel sheets, cellular concrete, boards
dry building boards, as well as in multilayer thermal insulation with EPS and
MW in normal or low temperature conditions.
Indicative consumption: in a thermal protection system: up to 8 m2 per bottle for foundation wall insulation: up to 12 m2 per bottle
Characteristics:
- yield per bottle: 8 m2 - 80% more than standard cementitious mortars
- 15% higher bonding strength than standard cementitious mortars
- Low secondary swelling
- hardening after about 2 hours - speeds up the process of applying insulation
- use at temperatures from 0°C and in conditions of increased humidity
- excellent bonding to mineral substrates and polystyrene slabs - 1 m2 of expanded polystyrene slabs are fixed with 100 g CT 84 compared to 5 kg of cementitious adhesive
- improved thermal insulation properties compared to standard cementitious adhesives
